Authority of the Believer

Speak to your symptoms. You have the authority.

One of the most powerful revelations in the subject of healing is the revelation of our authority in Christ. (Barry Bennett, 'He healed them all')

You are authorized and empowered by God to demand (speak to) and cast out of your life (and others) all works of darkness! This right has been given to you by the God who made you. Let us see what the Word says.

Ephesians 2:4-6 "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."

Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. We carry this authority!

Do we really know who we are in Christ? Identity: I am a son or daughter of the most high God! Do we really know and believe that? How do we know that? Through meditation in His word. Through spending time with our Father who loves us. Our identity has to be rooted and grounded in Him and not in our past.

Authority flows from one who knows they are the boss, they are in charge. If your boss instructs you to do something within your job description and then takes a day off, what do you do as his/her employee? Expectation from boss is that you will do what he asks, whether he is there or not. He is the boss, he carries authority.

What is created must submit to a superior authority. Sickness is a thing and things must obey us as we have superior authority because we are in Christ! Good news for us, bad news for sickness!

Faith is authority in action!

Matthew 10:1 "And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease."

Matthew 17:20 "… For assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there', and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."

Psalm 97:5 "The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord."

What are the mountains in your life? sickness, finances, relationship issues?

Matthew 21:19 (Jesus spoke to the fruitless fig tree)"And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away." The fig tree withered and died.

Matthew 21:22 "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

Proverbs 23:7 "As he thinks in his heart, so is he." What we think, believe and speak is very important. Our bodies 'hear' us.

Mark 16:15-18 "And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Acts 1:8 " But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Have you received this power?

What power? Holy Spirit power. Same as Jesus has. What authority? Same as Jesus has. He said you will do the things He did and greater, if you believe, because He goes to the Father. More power and authority than you can ever use!

This Jesus ability in us is for our time on the earth not when we get to heaven. Now is the time to transform our minds, to believe, to act on our authority in Christ, cast out devils, heal the sick, speak with new tongues, prophecy, evangelize, and more! You can because He is in you!
