Still Power

Habakkuk 3:4 His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of His praise. 4 His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, And there His power was hidden.
Throughout scripture, Gods' power is spoken of as not being separate from His Spirit.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
So if you have received Gods' Spirit, then you have been given His power also! He is within you in power! This is the power of God on the earth today.
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
Such power given to men, (ladies)
Now when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men
What is this power all about?
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them (men) power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. The 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit are also empowerment from God . Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Miracles, Prophecy, discernment of spirits, Tongues, Interpretation of Tongues
Son of God and Son of Man.
Does anyone here know why Jesus is called the Son of God?
And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, (God) and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
Mark 2:9-11 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins,” He said to the paralytic, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”
Then Jesus,(Son of God and Man) returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.
Luke 6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.
Power of darkness
Does the devil really have power?
When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above.
(power temporarily given by God for His purpose of salvation)
Power of God
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes,
...in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God,
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
The still small voice.
1 Kings 19:11-13
Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still, small voice. Why is a small voice still? Notice It did not say, "but the Lord was not in the still small voice." He generated the still small voice. So He was in the stillness! God dwells in stillness!
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Is this an invitation to join the Lord in His stillness and experience His power?

1. Silent; uttering no sound; The company or the man is still; the air is still; the sea is still
this word is used in : Mark 4:39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!" ( Strongs = Be silent!) Stop making noise!
2. Quiet; calm; not disturbed by noise; as a still evening.
3. Motionless; as, to stand still; to lie or sit still
4. not agitated; as a still atmosphere.
Did you all know that rocks are still?
Fear and dread will fall on them; By the greatness of Your arm They will be as still as a stone!
Websters -def. Know - as in Prov 1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
Young's Literal Translation: Desist, and know that I am God.
What does to know mean? I believe the following describes it well.
Strong's Hebrew 3045: to know, learn to know, to perceive, to perceive and see, find out and discern, to discriminate, distinguish, to know by experience, to recognize, admit, acknowledge, confess, to consider, acquainted with, know how, be skillful, to have knowledge, be wise, to be made known, be or become known, be revealed, to make oneself known, to be perceived, to be instructed, to cause to know, to cause to be known, one known, acquaintance, (to make known, declare ) reveal oneself
Know His power…
Ephesians 1:18-21 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection
Being still is the key...
You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”
Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.
Jesus had stillness with Him wherever He was. In that stillness is the hiding place of His power!
We must learn to be still.
We must seek to know Him and His power that comes from the stillness.
