(Knowledge/Understanding Revelation)
Wisdom is the right use of knowledge, or sound judgment. The understanding is called the intellectual faculty. It is the faculty by means of which we obtain a great part of our knowledge.
Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledgeand of the fear of the Lord
Colossians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; Colossians 3:16 Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom(discernment).
If we could turn back the time from now to when Adam and Eve walked in the Garden with God and had no cares, no worries, especially personal what would it be like? In this scenario we could be with them to experience their living in the Garden of God. We would know God as they did and then be able to come back to tell others about it.
Have you ever gone on a vacation to a beautiful place and come back to tell others what it was like? I have. Truth is I wanted to keep living in that time when all the mess of life was suspended temporarily to make way for a better, more peaceful experience. I wonder if Eden still beckons us?
Let's get into this imaginary reality a little today for the purpose of seeing our lives change for the better. Are you with me?
Our Identity - Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness" The word image is Strong's 6754: Something that appears; an apparition; resemblance, copy, representation or likeness
If God looked in a mirror and saw His image and wanted man to be the same, then that is how He created him (us). Genesis 1:27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. We are both men and women indelibly imprinted with the image of our creator on the inside.
Genesis 1:31 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good!
Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being (soul). Notice the difference between Chapter 1:verse 27 and Chapter 2 verse 7
In Chapter 1 man was a spirit being without flesh made in the Spirit-image of God. In Chapter 2, the natural man was form fitted to the spirit- image we were created in. Probably the greatest miracle of God was creation of man, as God replicated Himself in each person who was ever born! Look at somebody and say," you are created in the image of your Father God!"
Genesis 1:28 says," God blessed them;" How did He bless them?
Ephesians 1:2-4 "Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him, in love."
We were blessed in our spiritual nature before we were formed of dust from the ground as man and (woman). It is no wonder that God in His wisdom did not entrust His blessing to flesh and blood but to spirits He created in His image. Our identity was established first and second our humanity. Which would you trust?
So if we in our identifying with God in our spiritual nature, were tempted in our humanity and fell, was/is God at fault for making us that way? I don't know about you but I think the Creator has all the right in how He creates things. Could it be that free will and choice came with great responsibility? Has God taken His responsibility seriously? If not then we should look for another planet to live on! But wait , He created the other planets as well!
The choice was reiterated in Deuteronomy 30:19-20 "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days."
Are we not as believers struggling between flesh and spirit within ourselves? The spirit, (our created spirit) made in God's image, and likeness, stands against the man of flesh, which is tempted by spirits of wickedness and our will joins one side or the other.
In Romans 7:14-17 Paul separates himself from his own sin. -" For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me."
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 -So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days."
No Shame, Guilt , or Condemnation Genesis 2:25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. Websters Definition ashamed - 1. Affected by shame; abashed or confused by guilt or a conviction of some criminal action or indecorous conduct, or by the exposure of some gross errors or misconduct, which the person is conscious must be wrong, and which tends to impair his honor or reputation.
There was no shame in the Garden because there was no sin. The Garden was in every way complete and perfect.
Let me ask you this: have you ever ordered something on a menu at a restaurant, and when it arrives you don't want it? What happened? The picture on the menu looked better than the real thing. My complaint is, " hey that steak didn't look tough on the menu!"
Does sin ever look bad to you? If it does it's because you have been working on your sanctification! The devil ain't going to show you a dessert menu with a picture of 4 day old ice cream on a plate with ants crawling on it! No way! It (devil) gives us a picture worth a thousand temptations!
You might be driving down the road, feeling sanctified, and all of the sudden some loser cuts you off. As they go by, you notice them looking down at their cell phone as they endanger your life. You evade, hit the brakes and feel very tempted to swear. To top it off they looked like Joe Biden! Now you're really mad! What will you do? Maybe you curse and show them a finger or two. More than likely you have been reading scripture and meditating on the new birth in Christ, how you are a new creature in Christ Jesus. Old things have passed away. All things are made new. So with trembling lips you mutter out, "Lord bless them today. Lord get them home safely, help them to find you." I know you would choose life. Good for you living in your God the Father identity!
Wondering Around the Garden…
Did you ever wonder? You know, wonder if you could ever reach the stars. If the perfect temperature actually existed on earth. How about swim with dolphins or drive a newly restored classic car?
Websters Definition wonder- 1. That emotion which is excited by novelty, or the presentation to the sight or mind, of something new, unusual, strange, great, extraordinary, or not well understood; something that arrests the attention by its novelty,
In my childlike wonder, I imagine the Garden of God had acreage farther than the eyes could see, lush, green vegetation, and lots of trees, rivers, mountains, oceans, meadows, flowers and a comfortable seat that appeared whenever you would tire so you could rest. If you close your eyes what would you imagine? Anyone?
Scripture says it this way, Psalm 31:19 "Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men." Meditating (thinking about) this scripture could be imagination activating.
God wants us to think /wonder about, "whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8 Does this verse represent sin in anyway? Then sin is absent! and by reason, the consequence of sin, sickness also. They weren't thinking about sinning in the Garden! They were wondering about all they saw and heard from the Lord!
If you are thinking on these things in Philippians 4:8, then you are imagining them! If your mind is full of the whatsoever things which are listed here guess what your mind is not filled with! I think some of us need some thought replacement therapy!
You will be thrilled with the results. This scripture is Doctor Jesus approved!
Okay, so you techy people can turn on a you tube video and watch people taking a trip to a beautiful Island, or mountains or go on a fishing trip or whatsoever! Some might want to think lovely thoughts of others, or yourself. I give you permission! Wonder and amazement are childlike attributes. If the Garden of Eden was Fathers original plan for mankind then we should think on this.
Have you ever seen God do a sign or wonder/miracle? We cease to wonder at what we understand. Have we come to the point of understanding miracles or are they still God's secret?
I don't think we will know how God does them until we graduate to Heaven. In the meantime knowing that God did it should still put us in the awestruck category. Strikes me with awe- Websters definition 1. awe - Fear mingled with admiration or reverence; reverential fear.
How did they know things?
You might think Adam and Eve had a learning disadvantage not having parents but not so as they had the God-parent! They learned perfectly as they were taught. They had the perfect teacher. Seeing that they were created at an( adult) stage of life, God must have downloaded beforehand the life resources program so that they could function. (My interpretation of how these things worked out!) Genesis 2:15-18 "Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and tend it. (The worlds' first landscaper )The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may freely eat; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for on the day that you eat from it you will certainly die.”Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone;" So man was born a man, not child. The scripture indicates this.
Consciousness is something all life has in common. CONSCIOUS, adjective 1. Possessing the faculty or power of knowing ones' own thoughts or mental operations. Thus, man is a conscious being. 2. Knowing from memory, or without extraneous information; as, I am not conscious of the fact. 3. Knowing by conscience, or internal perception or persuasion
Awareness is common also. I can move about, speak, (in English) etc. It is defined as the quality or state of being aware : knowledge and understanding that something is happening or exists. A state of consciousness, (opposite of being asleep) is characterized by sensation, emotion, volition, and thought. To know was part of the creation of our being.
Knowing God
In our day one must be born again of water and the Holy Spirit in order to know God. In the Garden of God no human race existed until Adam did. Adam had God All to himself! What a privilege! When Adam spoke, God the Father listened and when God spoke Adam heard. He had the God channel on all the time. Can you imagine having your earthly fathers full attention all the time? Even if he has gone on to heaven if you could just divinely face time him for as long as you want maybe it will seem like a slice of heaven. You see, I believe God will meet your desire and provide that when we meet again. The Father is always present now. The one who is the love behind our earthly fathers. He knew our desire and met it by sending the Holy Spirit to abide in us personally. Ask Him what you want, He will help and supply your need. He will provide security and comfort.
Knowing someone requires us to spend time with them. Who is more worthy of our time than the Lord our Father who's image we possess. Like anyone, God needs time with us paying our full attention to Him. Can we give that to Him? Knowing Him a little more each day will improve your life on earth. Fellowshipping with Him, worshipping Him in spirit and in truth can change any situation, right every wrong, heal any sickness, supply every need, want or desire. All He is asking for is for us to return His Love to Him who first loved us!
